Every once in a while I write about Freelancers who’s work I really like and / or used myself. They deserve to be known more publicly, which is why I started this small series. It’s not just advertising, it’s so that other creative people can find some new (and old) alternatives to enhance their own work, too! Today I’d like to hint you at the excellent musical work from “Neurological” Read more »
At the moment I’m hard working to get the game into Beta state so that testing can commence. There is no schedule for that at the moment. At the same time I’ve been working on something fresh, so here’s the latest cool thing I added to the Game: Dialogues with Portraits!
While not exactly the newest thing in the world, it certainly was a missing finishing touch for Space Madness to raise its quality. It just seems a lot tidier for the Player to expect text at one specific location on the screen, and it really helps to not drive me bonkers because of screwed text placements anymore.
Over the next few days I’ll be busy with drawing more portraits (maybe some animated too) and testing the new portrait text system some more to make sure it’s fine.
I’ll try to write again soon.
Today I’d like to announce my first little game: “Space Madness”
Space Madness is a small comedic adventure game I have been working on for 14 month. In Space Madness, you will follow the adventures of the little square-shaped yellow mutant by the name of “Ed” who is one of many mutants that the experiments of the mad scientist “Professor Marty” have created and then abandoned to a desert planet. Professor Marty wants to clone himself but since all his previous experiments have failed, he now get’s the idea he needs more energy and has to harness the energy of a nearby black hole – an experiment, that could very well lead to the destruction of the entire universe.
It is up to Ed to find out what Professor Marty is trying to do, and to stop him. You, as Player, will assist Ed in this task.
Space Madness has been designed with ease in mind. It is supposed to be a small game that you can just turn on (for example in your break) and get entertained by, and when you got enough, you come back later for some more madness.
The game will be commercially available for a low price on WINDOWS platforms. It will be DRM Free. The release is scheduled for 2011. The exact date and price will be announced at a later time. Meanwhile, why not check out some screenshots on the product page!?
